The fast-closing valves to be procured here are used to react quickly and reliably in the event of an air leak. A loss of a UHV or XHV environment due to air ingress, especially with large volumes such as accelerators or storage rings, can lead to considerable problems in terms of contamination, damage to system components and the effort required to restore the required vacuum level.
